I had a cancer scare in 2011. The diagnosis of 'cancer' came with a minefield of emotions, thoughts & fears just from hearing that word. It is easy to succumb to the fear and shock, and feel totally pushed into fear-based treatments by well-meaning professionals, friends or family rather than you actually allowing yourself to take the time to really research & make sound decisions based on what really is best for you. 

I found the minefield of information available hard to sift through, to find which options would be best for me & my individual circumstances. I'm sure if you have found this page you are having the same troubles. We are all different in so many ways & we have arrived at this point in our lives through the various choices we have made be they conscious or unconscious ones. Our lifestyle choices have really created who we are at this point in time.  Not only with the food we choose to eat (which I am very passionate about) but the way we think, feel, move & perceive have all had some effect on how our body responds & whether an imbalance is triggered or not. 

I have spent over 9 years sifting through all the information available that continues to be updated & have applied it in my own life along with my husband Aaron & our Staffordshire Bull Terrier dogs which we have bred over this time also, during that time we have found that the best overall outcome in our families personal wellbeing & continued healing has been achieved by balancing all avenues of lifestyle including looking at diet, exercise, mineral supplementation, cellular energy support, detoxification (physical & emotional), whole-body bioenergetics, thought processes & belief systems. 

We certainly do not claim to have all the answers, always perfectly follow all this advice ourselves or implement these tools 100% of the time. We aren't experts in any field but we encourage you to empower yourself by becoming your own health advocate & expert for the best outcome for you.  All we offer below are some of the resources and tools we have found helpful in the form of dietary protocols (through the wholefoods available on this website which includes a good variety of organic herbs & spices, various wholefood supplementation (as seen under the health tab) & support through a community of people connected through mutual sharing of these tools.

'Radical Remission' by Dr Kelly Turner 

This book was recommended to me by one of my more2u customers as the reason why she had gone into remission twice from a diagnosis of terminal breast cancer.  It is a MUST READ as it will help give you the tools to get your head & heart around the diagnosis as well as give you the hope that complete healing is totally possible.  Dr Kelly Turner studied over 1000 'terminally' diagnosed cancer patients & condenses the 9 key things they all had in commen to achieve full remission & healing after a terminal diagnoses where most mainstream health care professionals & specialists had offered all they could in the way of treatments(often chemo, radiation & surgery) & the only thing left to do for these people was to 'go home & enjoy the rest of your life'  which in most cases would not be for long according to the majority of these medical professionals.  This book empowers you with the knowledge & tools that you have the choice to completely decide which path you take in obtaining complete wellness in the event of a cancer diagnosis.  I recommend buying a copy online from, an online book store or getting a loan copy out from your local library.  More information about Dr Kelly Turner & her work are also available on the Radical Remission website link.

'......I believe you can virtually eliminate your risk of cancer and chronic disease and significantly improve your chances of recovering from cancer if you currently have it, by following these relatively simple strategies.

Researchers and cancer organizations increasingly recommend making regular exercise a priority in order to reduce your risk of cancer and help improve cancer outcomes.  Ideally, your exercise program should include balance, strength, flexibility, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). 

  1. Eat REAL Food: Seek to eliminate all processed food in your diet. Eat at least one-third of your food raw. Avoid frying or charbroiling; boil, poach or steam your foods instead. If at all possible always go for nutrient dense organic wholefoods. 
  2. Carbohydrates and Sugar: Sugar/fructose and grain-based foods from your diet need to be reduced and eventually eliminated. This applies to whole unprocessed organic grains as well, as they tend to rapidly break down and drive up your insulin level. 
  3. Protein and Fat: Consider reducing your protein levels to 1 gram of protein for every kilogram of lean body mass, or one-half gram of protein per pound of lean body mass. 
  4. GMOs: Avoid genetically engineered foods as they are typically treated with herbicides.  Choose fresh, organic, and preferably locally grown foods.
  5. Omega-3 Fats:  Hemp, Chia, Flaxseed Oils
  6. Optimize Your Gut Flora: This may reduce inflammation and strengthen your immune response. Researchers have found a microbe-dependent mechanism through which some cancers mount an inflammatory response that fuels their development and growth.
  7. Exercise and Move More: Sit less, move around more and try to take 10,000 steps a day.  Exercise also lowers insulin levels, which creates a low-sugar environment.
  8. Sleep: Make sure you are getting enough restorative sleep. Poor sleep can interfere with your melatonin production, which is associated with an increased risk of insulin resistance and weight gain.
  9. Exposure to Toxins: Reduce your exposure to environmental toxins like pesticides, herbicides, household chemical cleaners, plastics chemicals, synthetic air fresheners and toxic cosmetics.
  10. Exposure to Radiation: Limit your exposure and protect yourself from radiation produced by cell phones, towers, base stations, and Wi-Fi stations, as well as minimizing your exposure from radiation-based medical scans, including dental x-rays, CT scans, and mammograms.
  11. Stress Management: Stress from all causes is a major contributor to disease. It is likely that stress and unresolved emotional issues may be more important than the physical ones, so make sure this is addressed. My favourite tool for resolving emotional challenges is the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). (Kelly also has personally used techniques from The Journey developed by Brandon Bays along with diaphragmatic breathing & other relaxation methods as a way to manage & process those underlying unresolved emotional issues.  A simple & effective stress relief & anti-inflammation daily practise to ground yourself by taking your shoes off & walking bare foot on the grass or at the beach, only 5-10 minutes a day breathing deeply as you connect to the earth & let go of all inflammation & tension into the earth & fill yourself up with it's grounding energies.
