Barley-free & Gluten-free. Intense deep coffee notes from roasted ramon seeds and dandelion roots; unsweetened.

Is being gluten-free important to you? Even though Teeccino has been tested to have no detectable levels of gluten at 5 parts per million when brewed using a paper filter, you may be worried that you might still experience a reaction to the barley in Teeccino. Understanding that gluten-sensitive people, just like caffeine-sensitive people, can be hyper sensitive to trace gluten, I decided it was time to create a barley-free coffee alternative that is absolutely gluten-free.

Teeccino Dandelion French Roast tastes just like Maya French Roast to satisfy the person who loves dark roasted, regular flavour. It brings the health benefits of roasted dandelion root including its inulin content, antioxidants, and stimulating effects on liver function to your cup. With more dandelion root per serving than any other brand puts in their tea bags, Teeccino Dandelion French Roast produces a cup where the deep, full body of coffee meets the health benefits of nature’s healing herbs.

Ingredients: Certified Organic - Roasted organic carob, organic chicory, organic dandelion root, organic ramon seeds, natural coffee flavour.

May contain trace amounts of almonds.

Brewing Tips for Teeccino Herbal Coffee

Teeccino is made from a number of different ingredients, each of which is individually ground, roasted and then blended. Unlike coffee beans, which are ground to a specific size for each type of brewing method, herbal coffee is a composite grind that works in all types of coffee brewing equipment including drip coffee makers, French press pots, percolators and espresso machines. The following tips will help you brew a delicious cup of herbal coffee:

  • Always adjust quantities of Teeccino to your own preference. Just like coffee, some people like it strong while others prefer it weaker. Experiment by making several cups of Teeccino at different strengths to find the quantity that is perfect for you.

  • Drip coffee makers brew Teeccino best with a "gold" or permanent filter. Paper filters tend to brew slowly because the composite grind in herbal coffee may have some fine particles that can clog the paper. Permanent gold filters save trees and produce a better flavored brew because paper filters absorbs some flavor. Permanent filters are easy to rinse clean and are available for both cone and flat bottom coffee makers. Once you switch to gold filters, you'll never again run out of filters! Note: if you are gluten-sensitive however, we highly  recommend using paper filters to make sure that no Teeccino grounds get into your cup.

  • Drink Teeccino anyway you enjoy coffee. You may like it black or with milk, non-dairy milk or half & half if that is how you normally enjoy coffee. Taste Teeccino first before adding sweetener. Teeccino’s Mediterranean flavors are naturally sweet from dates and figs so you may not need additional sweetener.

  • If you want the flavor of a cappuccino but don't have a cappuccino machine, consider a variety of different brewing options we at Teeeccino personally use and recommend. You can get just as fabulous a flavor and even better foamy milk with half the work.

Directions for brewing

Drip Coffee Machine:

Drip coffee makers allow you to brew Teeccino to the strength you prefer. You can even blend Teeccino with regular coffee and make "half caf" or "quarter caf" depending on your need & if your participating in the Teeccino Kick The Caffiene Habit Program, more information under the Quit Caffiene Painlessly Teeccino Tab.

1 - Add the following measurements into a drip filter, either paper or permanent.

  • Strong brews: Add 1 rounded tablespoon of Teeccino for every 2 cups of water to a permanent gold or paper filter. Add a tablespoon for the “pot” too for extra strength.
  • Medium brews: Add 1 level tablespoon of Teeccino for every 2 cups of water.
  • Light brews: Add 1 rounded teaspoon of Teeccino for every 2 cups water.

2 - Add water to the chamber. Use purified or filtered water if available for better flavor.

3 -  Start your drip brewer and shortly you will be able to enjoy a steaming cup of Teeccino!

4 - If you have any brewed Teeccino left over in the pot, refrigerate and reheat later or drink iced in a dessert or frappe!

Plunger or French Press Pots:

  • Add 1-2 tablespoons to "3-cup" plunger/pots, 3-4 tablespoons to "8-cup" plunger/pots, 5-6 tablespoons to "12-cup" plunger/pots.
  • Pour in boiling water.
  • Let steep for 5 minutes before pressing the plunger down.
  • Pour and enjoy!

Expresso MachinesTeeccino’s all purpose grind makes brewing in espresso machines easy. The following tips will help you brew the perfect cup.

  1. Fill the double porta-filter with one rounded tablespoon of Teeccino. Don’t overfill as Teeccino swells during brewing

  2. Tamp firmly but not hard.

  3. Brew 120ml of Teeccino into your cup as first pass.

  4. For larger cups, brew twice through the same grounds. A stronger extraction will come through the second pass-through after the Teeccino grounds have swelled slightly.

For a Stove top Italian Style Coffee Percolator place 1-2  rounded tablespoons Teeccino All Purpose Grind per 2 cups water into the grind chamber & brew as usual making sure not to over brew as per usual instructions for your percolator.
