BASIC GF WHOLESOME BREAD LOAF (1KG BAKED LOAF)
You will need:
500g Alternative Bread Co GF Wholesome Bread Mix
50gms sugar or honey or date syrup
600mls warm water
12gms yeast
In a medium-sized bowl combine your Wholesome Breadmix with your added ingredients; make sure your water is as warm but not boiling, you should be able to put your finger in without yelping.
Mix together until it starts to form a dough, it does thicken as you mix.
Tip onto a floured surface and knead for a few minutes.
Lightly grease a loaf tin and then dust lightly with flour to make sure all the edges and corners are covered.
Put your Wholesome Bread into the tin, pushing out to the corners and level the top to give a flat even surface.
Leave to rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
Bake at 200°C for 45 minutes.
Remove from tin as soon as cooked to prevent soggy bottom.
Leave to cool on a rack before slicing.
If you wish to make a small loaf using our small tins you can use half quantities of the ingredients and bake for 30 minutes.
