This condensed or 'liquid' smoke is the ultimate in healthy food flavouring.  It is made by burning fresh-cut wood chips at extremely high temps & moisture levels.  There is nothing 'synthetic' about it.  It can be used in sauces, dressings, casseroles & stews to great effect.  I also personally use it to make vegan coconut bacon & smoked vegan cheeses.  It is very concentrated so less is MORE.  Start experimenting with a small amount & I recommend transferring to a small spray bottle to dispense as too much really is too MUCH!
